The Featured Old Skool/New Skool #6
"The Gambler" is the title of a song written by Don Schlitz and recorded by American country music artist Kenny Rogers. It was released in November 1978 as the title track from his album The Gambler which won him the Grammy award for best male country vocal performance in 1980. In 2011 Reggae artist Busy Signal picked it up and recorded it for VP Record's Reggae Goes Country Album.
