Hezron & Chistopher Martin invited to perform at the 2012 London Olympics

This years 2012 Olympics will have a taste of Jamaica with perfomances by Christopher Martin and Hezron Clarke who are part of a Caribbean entertainment package for the Olympic Games starting next month.

The two will be performing on the Caribbean Export Development Agency's Caribbean Soul Fusion at London's Grosvenor House on August 9, 2012. The event is part of the agency's London Engage initiative which highlights Caribbean music including reggae, soca, folk, and Afro-Haitian. Not only will the entertainment industry benefit from the increased demand for the products on offer, but also performers will have the opportunity to display the export potential of their craft, which may result in gaining entry to the international market." says Pamela Coke-Hamilton, executive director at Caribbean Export.

Along with Christopher Martin (Jamaica), and Hezron Clarke (Jamaica), Michele Henderson (Dominica), BelO (Haiti), Claudia Edward (St Lucia) and Arturo Tappin, and Mr Dale from Barbados complete a very talented professional line-up.

The Caribbean is expected to have a major impact on the London Games. Jamaica, led by defending 100 and 200-metre champion Usain Bolt, again represents the region's best medal hopes. Grenada will be represented by the talented Kirani James, who won the 400 metres at the last World Championships, while Barbados has Ryan Braithwaite in the 110-metre hurdles. From Trinidad and Tobago are sprinters Richard Thompson, Keston Bledman and Renny Quow in the 400 metres. Thompson was second to Bolt in the 100 metres at the Beijing, China Olympics four years ago.
