Sherieta began her singing career as a member of her church choir at the age of six. A past student of Edna Manley School of Music, Sherieta started working on her career in 2007 by establishing a successful relationship with top class producers such as Dean Fraser, Mikey Bennett and Christopher Birch. These great musicians have nurtured Sherieta’s unique sound, giving it a blend of reggae, dancehall and r&b, a combination rarely mastered by other vocalists. In that same year, Sherieta made the top 20 international list with her original song: Wish For You on “The Next Best Thing” - a talent show aired on BBC TV. She is no stranger to the stage as she has been doing background vocals for entertainers such as: Tarrus Riley, Diana King, Duane Stephenson and Nasio Fontaine. She also freelances as a back up vocalist for other Jamaican artistes and has toured numerous countries including England, Germany, Italy, USA, as well several Caribbean territories. Affectionately called “I V” by her colleagues, her talents are not limited to singing. She is a talented musician who plays percussion and keyboard recreationally and is also a songwriter who has penned most of her own songs as well as for entertainers such as Jah Cure (Freedom), Etana (Warrior Love) and Luciano (No Evil). Sherieta is under the management of Island Star Records and is currently in the studio working on her debut album and preparing to go on tour in the USA where she will be the opening act for Tarrus Riley and Duane Stephenson. She is definitely on her way to the stars and will create waves in the local and international entertainment arenas.
